“Can anyone in the (Congress) high command tell which two posts Ashok Gehlot holds right now? Why is he being asked to give up the CM post now? When he gets the second post then we can talk about this (leaving the CM post),” Dhariwal could be heard saying in the video.
“This is the same conspiracy due to which we lost Punjab. Now we are on the verge of losing Rajasthan,” he added.
“We will lose if Ashok Gehlot is removed as the chief minister,” Dhariwal further said.
On Sunday, over 80 MLAs belonging to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot camp visited the Speaker’s home to submit their resignation. The MLAs were miffed over the party high command’s possible move to make Sachin Pilot the next chief minister in place of Ashok Gehlot, who is going to contest the Congress presidential polls.
Ashok Gehlot may have to relinquish his CM post in Rajasthan after Rahul Gandhi spoke about the ‘one-man, one-post’ pledge.
